TD Service
Company employs a full-time, dedicated Information Technology
("IT") department. The department is staffed with specialists
in networking, software engineering, systems analysis, data interchange
and security. This group specializes in custom solutions, both
in-house and for outside customers. Nearly every application at
TD has been built from the ground up, resulting in software that
are dynamic and effective, and portable to our customers as well.
In the recent
past many of our clients have focused on the technology security areas of our
capabilities. As federal legislation governing data
privacy and security has been enacted, TD has met the requirements
of our customers in complying with those mandates. Below is a
brief overview of TD's technology offerings.

Disaster
Recovery - TD is a partner with IBM in their
Business Recovery Services ("BRS") program. As part
of that subscription, TD has access to a large number of "hot-sites"
around the nation. These sites contain mirror equipment that duplicate
TD's operating environment and configuration. In a disaster, both
TD's data and staff can be re-located to a hot-site and be operating
in a short time.
Testing: TD's disaster recovery technology plans are tested
annually. In each test we have been able to be back and operational
in less that 18 hours. In addition, TD backs up all data at regular
intervals and stores data off-site through third-party data storage
specialists, in environmentally-controlled, secure environments.

Electronic
Data Interchange- Many customers transact electronically
with TD. We are a member of the Fidelity Information Services "Exchange"
and we are a preferred provider for MERS, and helped implement some
of their technology standards. TD can accept data for many of our
services including lien release, assignment, foreclosure and many
others. TD can also send data back to customers in a wide variety
of formats; from hard-copy to CD-ROM to secure E-mail to FTP and
others. TD routinely accepts data in many popular formats including
fixed-length .txt, .csv, Excel and others. Reports and billing
are available electronically in many of our applications. We can
interface with your in-house systems as well. If you have a need,
don't hesitate to ask us. |

Network
Information - Specific questions about TD's network can
be routed directly to TD's Chief Information Officer, Bruce
Gauger. In general, TD employs a wide-area network with a mixed-server
platform. TD chose the IBM I-Series as a primary server due to its
superior ability to resist hacker attacks and it's industry-leading
99.97% uptime. Our network contains a number of safeguards to restrict
access and monitor for intrusion. Through our dedicated web server
we offer our customers secure sign-on to a number of browser-enabled
applications like trustee sale information, lien release and reconveyance
lookup, assignment and document research inquiry, dedicated FTP
and others. TD constantly invests in new technology and we are constantly
developing new applications for our customers. |
